Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using tripcoord ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of the Service
tripcoord is a travel-planning platform that lets individuals and groups plan, organize, and collaborate on trips. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Accounts & Subscriptions
tripcoord offers a free plan, a one-time per-trip Trip Pass, and the Travel Pro subscription. The Trip Pass is a single payment tied to one trip and is not a recurring subscription. Travel Pro is billed monthly or annually as selected at purchase; you may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Trip Pass purchases are final once any of the pass's AI credits have been used, except where required by law. Cancelling Travel Pro moves your account to the free plan — your trips and data remain accessible.
4. AI-Generated Content & Travel Information
tripcoord uses artificial intelligence — together with third-party data sources, including Google Maps and Google Places — to generate itineraries, venue details, opening hours, prices, travel times, maps, and other recommendations. This information is generated automatically and is often incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate: venues may relocate, change their hours or pricing, or close permanently without notice, and AI output can contain errors, omissions, or invented details. All such content is provided "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy, availability, quality, safety, or legality.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying every travel detail before you rely on it or travel — including hours, prices, reservations and availability, closures, transportation, and all entry, visa, passport, vaccination, health, and government travel-advisory requirements — directly with the relevant venue, operator, or official authority.
tripcoord is a software planning tool, not a travel agent, tour operator, or seller of travel. We do not book, sell, resell, or provide any flight, lodging, transportation, activity, or other travel service, and we are not a party to any transaction you enter into with a third party.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, notes, trip details). By uploading content, you grant tripcoord a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content solely to provide the Service to you and your trip group.
Public itinerary templates (opt-in). If you toggle "Share publicly to community" on your itinerary, you grant tripcoord and other users a non-exclusive licence to view that itinerary at/community/[your-trip-id] and to fork it into their own trips. Forked copies retain a reference to your original. You can turn this off at any time from the itinerary header — existing forks already created will not be affected, but new forks will be blocked. Your group chat, expenses, and member roster stay private regardless of this setting.
6. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party booking platforms (flights, hotels, experiences). Some of these links are affiliate links, and tripcoord may earn a commission if you make a purchase. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
Bookings, purchases, and payments you make through a third-party platform (including via affiliate links) are governed solely by that third party's terms and are made at your own risk. tripcoord is not responsible or liable for any third party's products, services, pricing, availability, cancellations, refunds, or failure to perform, or for any loss arising from a booking or transaction you make with a third party.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our data or AI models
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service and all content — including AI-generated and third-party data — are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the content is accurate, current, complete, or reliable. tripcoord does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, tripcoord and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, data, goodwill, travel costs, missed connections, or other losses arising from or related to (a) your use of or reliance on the Service or any AI-generated or third-party content, or (b) any third-party booking, goods, or services. tripcoord's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid tripcoord in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold tripcoord harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on its content, your bookings or transactions with third parties, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
12. Text Messages (SMS)
tripcoord sends a text message only when a user chooses to invite someone to a trip by text. These are one-time, user-initiated invitations — we do not send recurring, promotional, or marketing text messages, and we never text numbers obtained from any source other than a user entering them to invite that person.
If you send an invitation by text, you confirm that the recipient agreed to receive it from you. Do not enter a number for someone who has not agreed to hear from you.
Recipients can reply STOP to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with how often a user invites you. Messages are delivered by third-party carriers, and neither tripcoord nor the carriers are liable for messages that are delayed or not delivered.
